Meet the Maker

Having studied to be an animal ecologist, I am constantly enthralled with the wonderful gift's nature has to offer. Stones have always been a passion of mine, with two absolute favourites being Australian opal and turquoise. When I was a small girl, my grandfather bought me opal earrings, and I have loved the unique stone ever since.

I was born and raised in Noosa, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, and have a love for the ocean and it's inhabitants. I love beachcombing and collecting shells (ethically and sustainably, of course!).

My very first jewellery business was Seaworn, where I made beach jewellery. From there I moved into silver and gemstones.

I began smithing in 2021 when I wandered into my local gem club and asked if someone could cut some opal rough I'd had since I was young. Instead of doing it for me, they taught me how to do it myself! Feeling proud of my accomplishment after cutting and polishing a small Coober Pedy opal, I asked if I could be shown how to make a ring with it. The wonderful members showed me how to do a basic setting for the opal. I now wear it as my "engagement" ring (even though I've been married for 16 years!).

I have always had a love for jewellery, but could never quite find "my style" in the fast fashion jewellery franchises, so with my new-found skills I decided to start making my own. Through much trial and error, I have taught myself the craft (and still have so much to learn), creating the brand that you now see.

Born of my love for nature, my pieces are all handcrafted in my home studio in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, using .925 sterling silver, and genuine gemstones and ethically sourced shells and shell beads.

The name Earth Soul is a reminder that the pieces you buy from me are natural gemstones… a little piece of the earths soul that you can wear as a talisman, a tangible connection to nature, when a lot of us are experiencing disconnect in this fast-paced world.
